More About Alex Kaufman (he/his)

As a professional engineer grounded in sustainable energy technologies, I’m at my best bringing people together to create real meaningful change. I’m guilty of starting multiple staff engagement working groups with previous employers, planning corporate retreats, and getting crowds excited about a wide spectrum of sustainability topics.

With over 10 years of engineering experience collaborating in a variety of workplace settings from engineering consulting firms to environmental non-profits, I find my truest self when applying my energies towards the loftiest challenge of our generation – combating the anthropogenic impacts of climate change. I believe the businesses contain the essential resources for advancing global climate action initiatives.

Past clients include local and regional governments, manufacturers, commercial businesses, community choice aggregators, and government agencies including the California Public Utilities Commission, California Energy Commission, and the U.S. Department of Energy.

Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio I currently live in San Diego, California with my wife. In addition to my passion for all things sustainable energy, you’ll find me backpacking, traveling, hiking, cycling, listening to podcasts, surfing, enjoying new tasty beers, nerding out on history (including beer history), and learning about how things work. I even previously worked as a brewery tour guide with a local tour company in San Diego.
